Every night when the sun is setting all along the beach people gather to watch the sky change colors, hoping to see the mythic green flash. The first night my mom and I were walking along into the setting sun when we saw a dolphin fishing in the shallow water just a few yards off shore.
The water couldn't have been more than three feet deep where the dolphin was cutting back and forth parallel to shore, then with a burst of speed the dolphin would charge the shore, presumably in pursuit of a fish, into water less than two feet in depth only a couple yards off shore. This went on for five minutes until another a dolphin came by and the first dolphin swam out. Together they swam off.
I was not prepared for this with a camera but it will be a memory I'll carry for a long time. After the jump a couple pictures of sunsets when I did have my camera and a shot of me with my my mom.
