CIDRAP is reporting new human illness and fatalities from the H5N1 virus in Indonesia, China and Vietnam. This while H5N1 outbreaks in poultry flare throughout the region, with Pakistan reporting another H5N1 outbreak. See also: WHO global H5N1 case count.
On the seasonal flu front
In the US seasonal Flu widespread in 44 states, CDC reports with more and more cases of seasonal flu not matched by the seasonal flu vaccine (h/t RenalWeb).
