Joyce Jackson interview
Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC) President and CEO Joyce Jackson Interview with Renal Business Today is very good. I've tried to cover some of the same territory here, here and here. In fifteen questions the interview covers a lot of territory including home dialysis, barriers to home dialysis, small provider challenges, Medicare reimbursement reform, and what it means to be a community based nonprofit healthcare provider:
Being nonprofit at our organization is all about attitude; it’s about our approach and it’s about our actual outcomes. And that seeps into everything we do. It’s all about advancing the field. I’d expect this of all nonprofits, not just the Northwest Kidney Centers because if we don’t, as a nonprofit, add that benefit back into the community, then really we are no different.
NKC goes beyond what Medicare requires, working to improve the kidney health of the community here in Washington. And with the new Kidney Research Institute NKC is building with the University of Washington, NKC is working to improve the kidney health of the world.
