The Lufkin Daily News Reported over the weekend that a former employee is suspected of "criminal acts" in connection to the cluster of deaths at a DaVita dialysis unit in Lufkin Texas. My source is suggesting that this has to do with the misuse of bleach. Bleach is used to clean surfaces in diluted form throughout a dialysis clinic; it should have no contact with an individual's blood. When I heard bleach might be involved I thought I remembered a case of someone who killed using bleach who worked at a nursing home or hospice but I couldn't Google up a reference.
Whatever happened in Lufkin I hope they can sort it out and give the community a full accounting.
