- Kaply, Inc. Tracy fixed her vacuum cleaner; a music video of "Poison" by Bell Biv Devoe; hired a blog designer to give her blog a makeover. (We look forward to seeing it soon.)
- Toastiest has a picture of Sarah Palin with pancakes on her head and opines about her presence on the political scene; a video of someone winning big on the "$100,000 Pyramid."
- Birdman is bummed because has a fever and is on antibiotics so won't be called for a transplant until he's healed.
- The Life of a 20-Something With Lupus had a yucky day with a stomach ache; made it through her first week of school despite not feeling well; a stranger in the subway lifts her spirits.
- Becky Perry has a list of four things that make her happy; has a visitor whom her kids love and starts a pleasant but busy weekend.
- CHRONIC POSITIVITY - Life with Polycystic Kidney Disease Jeff writes about his wife's career struggles and his PKD challenges to make a point about the importance of persistence in life.
- Life on dialysis ... and now life after my transplant! Holly passes her degree with flying colors.(Congratulations! We are proud of your accomplishment!)
- On the Road to a Cure has a link to the transcript of the webchat "Participating in a Clinical Trial"; Amanda Davenport, chef with lupus, gives her take on the latest Hell's Kitchen episode and shares her recipe for Grilled apricot glazed chicken with grilled pineapple and jalapeno salsa. (Sounds yummy!)
- I Am. Are you? links to a video and article about the common misconception that doctors will not want to save your life if they know you’re a registered organ donor.
- Transplant Alliance a donor mom shares her experience; and gives a link to her son's memorial site
- Chronic Chick Talk recommends Somatic Therapy for people who have experienced trauma.
- Dialyse This left treatment with a kilo more fluid weight than expected and since she must restrict her fluid even more till next treatment all she can think about is drinking,(Been there, hate that.) loves Stargate, watches some of the Native dialyzors in her center eat Kleenex.(Yuck!)
- Bud's Ramblings wants to repaint his garden gnomes.
- Disability Prejudice And Civil Rights Watch Alison has the World Kidney Day logo up, too.
- Precious Bodily Fluids gives a link to his PowerPoint presentation on diabetic nephropathy, which he says is the greatest ever and his colleagues agreed; got an insulting letter from the ophthalmologist of a new patient.
- Renal Fellow Network reports on a malpractice suit that nephrologists should know about; a post on differential diagnosis of acute kidney injury following stem cell transplantation; information on osmotic nephrosis; how the chloride sweat test in cystic fibrosis works.
- Uremic Frost tells us that Spire Corp. has sold their catheter related business interest to Bard Access Systems for a cool $15 million; Acumen EMR, has a participating registry in CMS's 2009 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). This will enable participating nephrologists to report quality outcomes to the PQRI program and therefore qualify for incentive participation payments from CMS; details on an AAKP educational event " Kidney Beginnings Live Program" this weekend in Brooklyn, NY.
- Renal tsar's blog links to an National Health Service leaflet aimed at patients to explain the meaning of proteinuria, causes, signs and tests to determine proteinuria; a Q & A in which the tsar explains the meaning of eGFR to an 87-year old man with a kidney transplant.
- pkdmom2five has a photo of her son working on his computer in a cramped space; her father is 5-years tumor free. (We wish him many more healthy years.)
- Dialysis and Me makes his first video blog entry of his wife setting up his APD dialysis machine; has the World Kidney Day logo and video; an update on his scale model project of the Terminator; replays a conversation he had about living organ donation and provides some educational links; another videoblog post on living kidney donation and World Kidney Day.
- My Wife Has Lupus - Support for individuals whose family or friends have lupus his wife gets a bad headache and jitters from a B12 injection.
- Mid-life ramblings updates on her first few weeks home with NxStage, feels more comfortable when a family member keeps her company during the beginning of the procedure; finds an internet listserve support group, NxStageUsers, to be helpful to her.
- Living with PKD feels guilt about missing the PKD Walk this year.(Don't worry, there will be another one next year.)

- My New (transplanted) Kidney Al's labs continue to improve with every clinic visit- he's now 6 1/2 weeks post-transplant.

- Team Teddy Bear cute photos of his boy's first day of kindergarten; links and directions on how to support the PKD Foundation through Facebook; announces that PKD walking teams that register 10 or more walkers will have a special Team Table reserved for them at the Start/Finish line to decorate and gather at.
- Kidney in the News thanks Steve Jobs. of Apple Corp., for bringing attention to organ donation in his speech this week at the Apple technology conference.

Bill Peckham is the publisher and main writer of this blog. It is his photo in the upper right hand corner of the page. If you also click "Contributors" you can get a brief bio of this man who has a compelling personal story and has been a tireless advocate for people on dialysis here in the USA.
He'll check out your blog and decide where it is best included on the site.
