Here are the CKD related blogs updated since my last report on 10/10. If you have or know of a blog that should be on the list let Bill know. Comments in parentheses are my reactions or opinions.
- Dialysis from the sharp end of the needle Brian Steele-Sierk, who has Type 1 diabetes and CKD5, points out excellent lessons that CKD5 care could learn from the advances in diabetes care. (I think if the medical community stopped thinking of CKD5 as "End Stage Renal Disease" (ESRD) and realized that those of us with CKD5 don't have to be at the end of our lives if we have optimal dialysis then maybe things would be more likely to change.)
- Kamal Shah's Blog Kamal has a video of his going down the natural water slide at Chaparai; describes the difficulties involved in getting dialysis when he is away from home and how he managed when he skipped treatment on his recent vacation.
- Kaply, Inc. Tracy has done all her Christmas shopping except for her Grandma who is hard to shop for; Tracy's doctor want to treat her chronic sinusitis with steroids and antibiotics or surgery, Tracy expects the steroids to make her psychotic.
